Do you know that I'm there when he calls you?

Another secret.

Even if I'm not the other woman, I still am.

I don't listen. 

Even if I did I wouldn't understand anything.


Do you understand how long my heart has been with his?

This isn't a passing fling

Distance has become my companion and life has become difficult

But I wouldn't change it.

He is my choice going forward and I'm not one to doubt my choices.


Do you know he occasionally makes me angrier than anyone on earth?

Burning, seething frustration.

The way we go round sometimes makes me wonder why we're together.

We always come back around.

I don't want life with anyone else but him.


Do you know that laying next to him is the best thing on earth for me?

My heartbeat slows.

Holding his hand is like coming home after being away for a long time

Sleeping securely, dreaming.


Do you know that he's responsible for me still being alive and happy?

Friendship, a held hand.

He's given me the kind of love I never had the privilege of receiving before.

I finally found value.

He's taught me to be a better partner, woman, human being.

I continue to learn from him every day.
